SysChat - ubuntu wont boot into windows CD?

ubuntu wont boot into windows CD?

ok so im helping my friend out dual booting his computer. i set the BIOS setting to boot from disk so it comes up with a message that says:

Booting from CD....
press "esc" to open menu

so i press escape....but nothing happens it just boots into ubuntu. i know the keyboard works and ive tried it about 20 times....whats wrong?

By default you must hit the esc key within 3 seconds!

i have :( but i figured out if i take the disk out it does the same thing...so it wont boot from the disk for some reason:mad:
