Earth AV

My wife's laptop has some crapware on it called Earth AV.. Anytime she attempts to visit a site the site is listed as a potential phishing site and it is suggested she download this software to protect her computer. I am unable to find a link or program which will allow me to remove this. I cannot visit any websites and McAfee has not noticed it during Virus scan. I have added it to to restricted site list however this has not resolved the issue.

Does anyone have resolution??

:frown:I dont have the solution by I do have the same problem. Tried everything and nothing works. Let me know if u figure it out before I do!

How To Remove Earth AV

To Remove Earth AV you need to delete some registry keys and some folders and files

Delete these registry keys

Code:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Uninstall\Earth AV

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run "Earth AV"

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Earth AV

Delete these folders and files
%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Application Data\Earth AV
%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Desktop\Earth AV.lnk
%Documents and Settings%\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Earth AV

thank you. I am trying to delete the registry keys. The only one I found is the 3rd one. The first one, I got as far as uninstall. I cant locate earth av. I am certain I am doing this correctly. Any further advice?:D
