Your Favorite Windows Operating System?
 

Well, vote for the favorite windows operating system.

The most stable and reliable, and uses up the least resources.

I made it just windows this time since there would be too many to pick from.

For me, it has to be windows 98, considerably stable, fast, and uses up less resources.

XP, it's pretty.

I like windows 2000; I’m using it from past 3 years. I think its very user friendly.

I like Windows XP, it looks cool and has all the functions that I want to use or I can think of using, In its days, even Windows 98 was the best OS, and I know of ppl who still use it, for stability purpose :-/

i use xp, always have, and probably always will, dont know why though! i suppose that is just me! windows is for me! not linux or mac

XP and 2000 are the ones I would most want to run on my computers, but 3.x was probably the biggest improvement because it was the first OS with a GUI.

windows xp. the skins are pretty and it comes with a lot neat programs too! This includes getting microsoft picture it for free, which I find very useful in casual designing. yes, I would have to go with XP.

Oh my fav is definitely Win XP and windows 2000 comes second.... just hate Win 98, i cant imagine using it now.

Windows XP is my favorite, not only do I like its interface, but its features are so far the ones I like most.

LOL! Yep, I like XP for that and because you can use much better programs with it...May be getting more viruses, but overall I like xp :)

it has to be good old Xp never lets you down itsso much better then the others

I currently use Windows XP with Service Pack 2 on this laptop. I like the interface but the 'service packs' take up a lot of room and unless you have them you are very vulnurable. So you HAVE to have them or you can get hacked and et viruses VERY easily. =(

I have WIndows 2k (2000) on my PC (Personal Computer) and I really like its UI (User Interface) because it is easy to manuver around and doesn't take up much space.

I am trying to find a basic version of windows XP, the one with all the 'extra' stuff is gone.. Like the games and other USELESS stuff that you do NOT need but may WANT.
If anyone has this Windows I would really like it. =)

i like xp's interface..and all my friends are using it..my fav. one i guess..

Yes, i agree!! I just recently installed XP Service Pack 2. Which is better than the original and than all other OS versions. Go XP.

I like XP just because its the newest and fastest, but I also loved 98. I still use both.

I loved windows 98. I never bought or upgraded to the 2000. I just heard to many complaints about it. But I have the XP. I am pretty satisfied with it and find it really easy to learn and navigate.

My old time favourite would have to WIN 95. It is not as good as XP, but it had less problems.

It's probably be Windows XP SP 2.It was the best OS i've ever used.
Windows XP is way ahead from other Microsoft OS in terms of speed and usage and also reliability.

Add me to the small list of those choosing Windows 2000. I love it. I'd used it now, but my spouse prefers XP and we share a PC... so, I'm letting her get her away. :icon_rolleyes:

I think someone said Win 2K is user-friendly in an earlier post, and I completely agree with that statement. I've used it at several jobs over the years and prior to Windows XP's release. XP was kind if hideous to me in the beginning.

I was forced to switch to XP Pro since some of my software wouldn't run under WIn98 any more. :(

I liked Win 98 as it had less of security problems as strange it might sound.

Windows XP is pretty and stable, but I hate keeping track of all the updates.

i think i only experienced using windows 98 and xp...i like xp...windows 98 was fine too...

Id have to say XP as its the one i have used most..BUT there are so many bugs with all operating systems it annoys me to be honest.
I wish that they would bring one out without the bugs, but hey then they wouldnt make as much cash...and well they cant let that happen can they ....

by now XP is the best in windows , whereas fedora linux is also good

i have used xp but i have serveral computers that cant handle xp, and windows 2000 provides a system with less resource use, but wiht the capabilities of windows xp. Hands down win 2000 pro

If i have to say about my favourite OS then it is Windows Xp without any service packs coz it is really fast and easy to use compare to other OS. Easy to format and Install whereas in linux u are supposed to collect all the harware details before installing

My favorite has to be Windows 2000 Professional. Even on a P4 It's less of
a "Memory Hog" than XP or Vista. Not to mention it still has great support for old programs.
