Just in case you do not find the sound of the audio notifications in Microsoft Windows Vista appealing, you can opt to substitute them with visual ones. Just turn on the visual notifications for sounds and select which visual warning you want to use.
To do this, click on the Start button, and then enter in Ease on the Search box. The Ease of Access Center pop up window will open. Choose “Use text or visual alternatives for sounds.” Then check the option to “Turn on visual notifications for sounds (Sound Sentry).” Then beneath, “choose visual warning” choose the option you want and then Save to keep all your settings. Now listen and enjoy your Windows sounds.
