My laptop won't start up correctly, it has an automatic "startup repair" box and requests whether I want to restore my computer using "System Restore" I click restore, wait for 10 mins or more, the (lap top) Computer attept's to repair, fails "startup repair cannot repair this computer automatically", then I have to re-start it ... it then has the Microsoft Corporation black screen with the green loading bar.. nothing seems to happen from there on. I waited more than half an hour... still the same green loading bar.... :/ please help!

What OS is it?

Get the OS CD and Attempt to repair the OS. It might still be a little unstable after that so u will then have to Restore the Machine.
