I have my grandson's gateway pentium 3 with win 2000 pro. On start-up I get a flash of the win 2000 pro and then it says it cannot find the boot device. I want to reformat it and install XP home, but I don't seem to know how. I tried changing the boot order, to cd first, inserting the XP cd but it still says no boot device. I'm stuck! HELP

try to this step

on your pc -> press F8
select -> step by step command
change command -> C:/ to D:/ (your cd rom)
try type -> D:/DIR/P
if you see are list INSTALL OR SETUP
try this for install that.....
