which dvd writer to choose
 

hey guys. i am planning to buy a new dvd drive. just wanted to know which would be a better option. i have heard people saying that lite on is a good one and i should opt for it.

Some of the best dvd writers I know of are:

• Philips-BenQ
• Plextor PX
• SONY/Lite-On SOHW
• Samsung TS-H552L

I have had an AOpen DVD RW for a long time now and have never had any problems with them. They are quite cheap as well, my current one (DL DVD/CD RW) costing only £25.00.

I have an oldschool HP300i... now renamed 300n for there new line, and i have had nothing but great things come from it :) Their new line is even better; costs less and burns a wider range of media.
