I've been using Pageflakes for a while now, pretty nice AJAX effects and very customizable.

I have and always will have google as my homepage. I love to use it as a homapage because it is a great way to start out and it is a quick load.

I use Protopage as my homepage. It is awesome and you can build and customize it the way you want. You can even code your own such as I have.
