What software design method would be advisable ?

Hello there
What software design method would be advisable to use for developing a web based utility that will be a search engine through any of 5 fields. I came to hear that an open source project named paragent. Paragent’s Search capability provides a powerful IT management tool by allowing you to search by the way you work. Could you please provide me further details for this.?

I think java would be your best bet on this project

hello cranium,
I would suggest you to go with the good open source project named paragent which serves better for me and for our firm. It offers many open source ,among them i like remote desktop management system very much. They assures flexibility and good support for clients. They can keep track on software license also.
