what causes emachines to kick me off page i am loading?

I have an emachines W3503 desktop with windows XP and internet explorer....while online and waiting for a page to load, i am kicked to emachines search page powered by google. in the address bar is www.google.com/hws/emachines/afe?hl=en&s=http://...... and then the web address i am trying to load. It kicks me to a search engine result page with suggestions of sites for whatever I am trying to load. I tried cleaning out temp files and cache, restarting, still not helping. it has always happened occassionally with anything i am doing online, but today was worse than other days. this is very frustrating and annoying. what is causing this and what can i do to stop it? thanks in advance
