Vista very slow

I bought a Toshiba l300 Laptop with Vista Os but when I try to open a doc/program its takes too long to open up. Its very slow..What can i do, please help

hey

Download c cleaner from this site and install. Run the cleaner then check the option for scanning the registery. Click the fix option. It may help speed it up some.
