Using USB FOB as an A:\ drive... Everyone's tried installing an OS before, on a new motherboard, only to have the installation complain there's no hard drive. This is because there's [not yet] any support for the SATA chipset on the O/S install CD you're using. You fix this by using a driver disk from the SATA chipset mfgr & it fixes you right up.
You can also slipstream the driver into the install media.
If my new system came with no floppy drive, is there any way to get Vista, for example, to see my USB FOB as an A:\ drive, and pull the SATA driver off of it?
If slipstreaming is the only answer for a floppy-less PC, can someone supply a quick link as to how to pull this off?
