Unusual dual boot query I currently have an XP Pro/Vista Ultimate 32 dual boot system. I use XP for gaming and Vista for everything else....XP was installed first (current install is about 6 months old, Vista is brand new). XP is on the C: drive and Vista is on the H: drive. The C: drive is a 20gb partition and the H: drive is a separate 36gb Raptor drive. My problem is I want to do a clean install of XP with just my gaming stuff on it without killing the dual boot setup. I've already killed Vista once by installing a pre-Vista Ghost image of XP. Is there a way I can get rid of XP (format prior to a reinstall) without knocking Vista over as well. I'm assuming Vista fell over when I did the Ghost image because Vista writes some dual boot files to the XP drive. I'd like to set it up so I can do Ghost images of both OSs and install them without killing the other one. |
