When I leave my computer on with multiple applications open, and the screen saver is on, I find an extra application icon when I toggle through the open applications. I cannot stop the toggle on the icon and when I release the toggle and then re-toggle, the icon is gone.

My guess is this is an icon for the screen saver. However, because of the suspicious sneaky appearance of the icon I would like to be sure. The icon itself is a computer with a monitor and keyboard -- the suspicious part is that there is a pair of sunglasses on the monitor. Innocent or sinister -- does anyone know for sure?

it would have helped if we knew what screensaver that you were using...It is not a Microsoft one that I am aware of!

lurkswithin, thanks for replying to my post. The screen saver is by Ri Soft Systems, freeware at Screensavers and multimedia authoring tools at RI Soft Systems. The one I am using is 'Winter Wonderlands' and I was able to confirm that the icon is from the screen saver.
