TV out - span desktop/multiple workstations? Hello: I'm pretty sure I should be able to do this. I don't want my monitor and my TV to display the exact same thing, I want it to span across both, or have multiple desktops... I have an ATI Radeon 7200, running windows xp pro... Tv out works fine but only doubling up the display. I don't see any options in the Catalyst Control Center for setting them up this way... Do I need different software? Is this just not possible? Am I missing something? Usually figuring something out like this is easy for me, but this one's got me a little stumped. I'd appreciate any suggestions/help. Thanks! |
This is possible. On nVidia based videocards, you can do it easily. Maybe any ATI user here can explain a step by step howto. |
I was thinking it might not be letting me either because of the crappy old monitor I'm using, or the fact that I'm using the standard A/V tv out connection rather than Svideo... but it doesn't really seem like that should matter... I think maybe it's just something to do with the software... |

I say you need some other kind of software. I would suggest that you try going to the webpage of ATI, and if there is a support forum like NVIDIA does, then ask there in the appropriate section, and i'm pretty sure, you will get a reply as soon as possible.:) |
