Default TV out - span desktop/multiple workstations?

Hello:

I'm pretty sure I should be able to do this. I don't want my monitor and my TV to display the exact same thing, I want it to span across both, or have multiple desktops... I have an ATI Radeon 7200, running windows xp pro... Tv out works fine but only doubling up the display. I don't see any options in the Catalyst Control Center for setting them up this way... Do I need different software? Is this just not possible? Am I missing something? Usually figuring something out like this is easy for me, but this one's got me a little stumped.
I'd appreciate any suggestions/help. Thanks!

This is possible. On nVidia based videocards, you can do it easily. Maybe any ATI user here can explain a step by step howto.

I was thinking it might not be letting me either because of the crappy old monitor I'm using, or the fact that I'm using the standard A/V tv out connection rather than Svideo... but it doesn't really seem like that should matter... I think maybe it's just something to do with the software...

Hey zCon,
Try THIS its software to enable monitor spanning on ATI cards.

Or THIS is the manual for Catalyst, it mentions Advanced View to enable/disable clone view, but I only skimmed through it. Let us know how you get on

I say you need some other kind of software. I would suggest that you try going to the webpage of ATI, and if there is a support forum like NVIDIA does, then ask there in the appropriate section, and i'm pretty sure, you will get a reply as soon as possible.
