Yes, i want to install xpsp2 on SAT u305 s7446, but it appears to be, there is a message that it cannot find any hard drive on my system, then on xpsp2 installer when i boot to cd, there is a message that i cannot install older version of the OS, is there a way how to install xpsp2 on SAT u305 s7446? Coz i cannot use my Roland Virtual Sound canvass on Vista OS. Thanks lot, pls help...

You cannot have Win XP and Win Vista installed on the same partition.

To run two operating systems you need either two partitions on the one hard drive, or two hard drives,

Win XP has to be installed on the boot drive first, before Win Vista is installed on the second partition / hard drive...

You have to use the xp cd to reformat the c partition that vista is installed on by creating two partitions. Install the xp on the first partition and vista on the second.
