Terabyte hard drives? Does anybody here see any reason to get a Terabyte sized hard drive? To me it seems like completely overdoing it all, I would never ever use that much space because I only play a few games and only listen to a few gigs of music. Any thoughts? |
Having that much space would allow you to store your movie collection on your computer. A software/game developer would be able to keep past projects of graphics intense games that use up 5+ GB of space for each project without filling up the HD... I only have 2GB of music on my computer right now, but if I had that much space I'd have something like 50GB of music! I would definitely use it up eventually... It would take a long time though. Wow, I'd love to have a terabyte of HD space! |
I'd love to have terabyte of HD. I will download all the software i need and all the music i like and also movies. Heaps of movies 4 sure. |
if i have that much space... i'll try to get a T3 and above internet and host a server... lol |
You could still have a server with less than a T3 i think so. |
hahaha... but getting t3 can ensure yopur server goes really fast and doesn't crash all da time... :D |
Yes, that's true if you say it like that. But if you have the correct software and have a good ISP then you will be allright in my opinion. |
yeah you can... you can even have a server with 56K... but those will run really slow.. :D |
For a server, it is best to have broadband instead of dial-up cause it is very slow. But if you have dial-up that gives like 50Kbps instead of 40.0, then it will be a bit better. |
Well, I'm more than comfortable with my 200 Gb. hard drive. Though I never turn it off, it's almost impossible for me to use it 100%. Of course, I burn what I download from now and then. |
Yes you can. I've got 80GB at the moment, and so i have to uninstall and delete a lot of my stuff from making it full. |
