Start Menu Hello All, I am trying to install a small app in Windows7. But in order to do this the app needs to be directly copied to the startup folder. Could you tell how to do this please. RalphG:biggrin: Sorry ment to place this in software section |
Hi Ralphy, Try this: Click the Windows 7 Start button, Click All Programs, Right-click on Startup folder http://i51.tinypic.com/21aljs0.jpg
Then, copy a shortcut of the program that you want to run on startup to the folder C:\ProgramData\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup http://i55.tinypic.com/2jb7fae.jpg If you want to set different startup programs per user, navigate to the folder C:\Users\XYZ\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup *where XYZ is the username of each user account on that computer |
DominicD Thanks I really could not Figure out how to do this. I never had any reason to get into startup. But now that I know how, I see how I could use this for other things. :usa2: RalphyG. |
