Speed up network browsing in XP
Here's a little tip that can speed up your network browsing by a large margin-
1. Open regedit. Start > Run... > type in regedit
2. Open up this registry key: Code:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Explorer\
Remote Computer\NameSpace
3. Delete this registry key: Code:
{D6277990-4C6A-11CF-8D87-00AA0060F5BF}
This will now stop the computer from checking for scheduled tasks, which takes quite a while. So when you get rid of this, the speed is going to increase. |
