I never thought that the day will come when the computer will be able to recognize my voice and give me control over it by just saying what I want it to do, without the help of the keyboard or mouse.
One of the features of Windows Vista is speech recognition. To activate this feature, you just have to click on the Start button, then Search. Enter the terms “Windows Speech” in the space on the box that appears. The Windows Speech Recognition window will appear.
Select the option to Start Speech Recognition then follow the tutorial on how to set up your microphone and actual speech recognition. Before closing, set the speech recognition to start each time you log on to the computer. Then click on Ok to save your settings. Next time you use the computer, you will probably just say the words instead of typing them.
