Does any one have a suggestion about how to copy vhs to dvd and over ride the copywrite

first of all what copyright on VHS?
Use a tuner card to copy the files in appropriate format to your computer and burn to a dvd. If you are backing up your own videos it's fine.

If it really does involves copyrights, then you have not posted your question appropriately, and no one is going to help you break the law.

I am trying to convert my old movies on vhs tapes to dvd , not trying to do something illegal, I just wanted opinions on the best way and an uncomplicated software to use, Thanks

if you purchase a tuner card it should come with it's own software for watching tv, vhs and recording, just like a PVR.
