I have been caught up with the MMORPGs for so long now I have totally lost touch with the single player games? Is there any hot new game just out or coming out soon someone could recommend for me getting back into single player games? I will have times when I am traveling now and will not have internet access and would like a game to play.

Oblivion! Oblivion! Oblivion!!!!

If you're a MMORPG citizen then you should feel right at home in this single player RPG. Battle for Middle Earth II is also strongly recommended.

If you're a fan of the Star Wars franchise, Star Wars: Empire at War is also a keeper.

Of course, a list of must-have single player games is never complete without Civ IV.

And I hear you... I had to wean myself from WoW last year. It was truly an addiction that was an enormous timesink.

It got so bad I threw out the CDs and swore to myself never to play an MMORPG again. They are just too immersive.

I play games to past the time, not to lead an alternate virtual life.

lol.. so true... Gotta watch those MMORPG's! I got out early when Diablo II got too intense. Just in time to miss the opportunity to make a wack of cash selling items in D2 on Ebay.

I've been having fun playing Operation Flashpoint lately... It's been around for a while now and isn't anything spectacular...

The MMORPGS that I shamelessly admit to still playing sometimes have been all excited about Oblivion.

Anyone know more what kind of RPG is it going to be? Story (but no real big spoilers please)?
