Setting up a dual boot on a Vista System Hi all! First time post, so please bear with me. I just bought a new laptop with Vista already preinstalled, and would like to install XP Pro for a dual-boot system. I have read the tutorial on this sight concerning setting up a dual-boot on a Vista system, but was wondering one thing...in the tutorial, it is mentioned that I should have the installation disks for both Vista, and XP. I have the disk for XP, so that isn't a problem, but I don't have the Vista installation disk. Would this present a problem? Any input would be greatly appreciated, and happy computing! Jim |
Why have you not burned the disk from your computer restore program. You can then use it to pull what files you need or then use it to create a regular slipstreamed installation disc. |
Yeah...already burned the discs through the restore program...gonna see if they work... |
