Problems with VISTA!
 

Hi - I have a Asus X51L Laptop. I am having a problem with the recovery more. Now when I boot up the machine it says : "Reboot and Select proper Boot device or Insert Boot Media in selected Boot device and press a key"
When i put in Recovery DVD and press any key it starts and says this :

1. Recover Windows XP to first partition only
2. Recover Windows XP to entire HD.
3. Recover Windows XP to entire HD with 2 partition

I have tried all three of the options and I keep getting the message, in big red letters,
'ERROR'
and in the top of the screen "cannot set temp path to work in"

Any advise ?

Your topic says u r hvng problems with Vista, in your explanation it says you are trying to recover XP. What exactly is in ur system?
