Problems with Gamepad calibration Hello people of the forum! I have an old Genius G-08X Gamepad conected in a Game/Midi port (is not USB) with the correct Drivers but in Windows 98 SE i can't calibrate it correctly because it is moving the cross all the time (I don't have this problem on Windows 2000/XP) i have the latest Directx version for this system but this don't solved this. When i play some Directx Games, i can't control the movement of the gamepad I don't know what to do. I'm short on ideas. One more thing, when i install the driver on Windows XP, the device manager install another driver "soporte para HID", in english "support for HID" i think (i have the spanish versión of WinXP SP2) |
Old hardware that was released for Win 98, has bucklies working with Win XP correctly... |
I don't want to use Windows NT based systems only for a gamepad on this computer because i want to make a machine for Music, Movies and for DOS and Windows games (i don't want to hear anything about DOSBOX on Win2K/XP, the emulator is very slow). It has a video card with a VGA to RCA adapter for the TV and i make use of the gamepad like a mouse and keyboard with an emulator program (joy2key.exe) in an horizontal PC (like a playstation  ) the gamepad works without problems on DOS based games but in directx games i lost the control of the movement. but there is a posibility to make the gamepad to work correctly with Win98 SE? can be this "HID driver" (or wathever) the driver that i need for the gamepad? |
