Oracle data recovery I have windows xp and oracle 8i installed in my system. Oracle data is installed in E:\ drive of my PC. Accidentally my windows is corrupted (OS is in C:\ drive) and I have reinstalled windows in C:\ drive after formatting C:\ drive. But E:\ drive is not corrupted, is in good condition. I have reinstalled oracle 8i and this time I have selected D:\ drive for Oracle data. My question is, how to recover my old data i.e. on E:\ drive into the newly installed Oralce data in D:\ drive. Thanks in advance. Yours, Sravan Kumar Ayela. |
Oracle data recovery The best way to do this is simply export the data from old drive and then import into the new database. |
Dear Mark_willum, First, thanks for reply. My windows is corrupted due to this I am unable to start oracle software. But data is available in e:\drive. If my windows is available and oracle software, I can able to export and import. But there is new windows installed and new oracle is installed. Then my question arises. How to export my e: drive data i.e., in windows folders like oradata, ora81 folders into the newly created empty data folders in my d:\ drive. Please solve my problem. Please try to understand my problem. Thanks in advance. Yours, Sravan Kumar Ayela. |
