NTLDR file missing
 

Had the file [ntldr] missing. After various attemps and methods to bring computer back on line ,but it just wouldn't log into the correct drive [2x180gb]. Tried rescue disc's , reinstall xp home disc , and other various ways. But finally formatted both drives and i just reinstalling everthing back. Just hope it never happens again . but reading all the posts on this it seems a common fault .

It does happen. Usually a fixmbr or fixboot command will fix it. So if it happens to you or a friend you probably won't remember those commands, but remember it is fixable.
