Networking on Mac OS and Windows XP

Hey guys, im new here. Sorry if posting on wrong therad or whatever, please fell free to move this post if required. Im looking for a tutorial about Networking between an old version of MAC OS and Windows XP since i need to share some files from both and dont know how to or if this is posible. Any tutorial should be apreciated, thanks.
