My computer wont play sound
 

My computer use to play sound but now all of a sudden there is no sound coming from the computer. Can someone help me figure this out?

First look in the Control Panel / Sounds and Multimedia and make sure the mute button is not ticked.

Look in the Device Manager under Sound, video and game controllers section for any ! next to a device.

If so remove the device by right mouse clicking on it and select Properties / Uninstall then reboot your computer, and Windows will either install the drivers or will ask you for the driver disk.
