My audio card is not detecting
 

Sir,
i have an opti audio sound card and when it fixed to the computer it worked normally but after 6 years i again opened up my computer it detected everything normally but audio card.is audio card's performance dependent on the time please help me

I don't quite understand the question, can you clarify? You may have damaged the card when you opened your case inadvertantly with static, or magnets?

I wasn't touched it with carelessly because i love my old pc very much so i have posted correctly actually it fitted correctly and the pins also inserted correctly so please help me

Broken Soundcard
 

Hello Sudheer, if the cards never been taken out and it has only stopped working after opening your PC, remove it using all the necessary anti-static precautions and clean the the contacts properly. Also check the slot for dirt.

If everything's clean and it still doesn't work, go through the usual process of trying to identify the problem by process of elimination e.g. try a different sound card, put the sound card into a different PC.

Also make sure you aren't turning your PC on and off too quickly, allow up to ten seconds for the power to discharge from the board before turning it back on.
