My Mouse have recentle started to stopp responding at random...happends 8 times a day probably
when happends..can't move the cursor at all, frezzes and never release untill i pull out the wire socket and re-attach it again, and the windows deafult sound thath a hardware has been found triggers, and then emidetley it become possible to move cursor again

doesnt thath talk against thath it's the mouse thath are failing, moore sounds like my computer cable-inputs have started to crack down? ore on the other hand..the socket on the mouse just?

therefore im not sure yet? if its a good idea to run to town tomorrow and buy a new mouse when im not sure who is responsible (Ben Johnson?)

it's an optic wired-mouse wich i have own for 4 years now, i can't test it on another computer either, cause the socket doesnt fit

i have spyware and virus checked my PC and can't find any pests

have the latest logitech mouseware firmware installed (tested to reinstall yes)

Hello Kloppstock, try uninstalling the mouse completely, re-boot your PC and run through the hardware detection process.

You could also try using the original drivers first and see if it works, if not do the same thing again but use the latest drivers.

Run a disk check, and a virus/spyware scan in safe mode, and think about when the problem started and wether there were any recent changes that you made to your PC prior to when the problem began.

What type of connection has the mouse got i.e. ps/2, usb, serial?

How interesting, its was a wrong driver who whas the problem...probably it was for wrong logitech version i hade installed, found another driver..who oviosly whas the latest..and no problem seens

We celebrate too fasst unfortentley, cause the problem didnt dissapear after all, i just hade lucky some time it seemed, now its back freezing to hell again,

i have tested to go back to the orginal CD-driver, but its to old to even work moore, the mouse couldnt even move after reboot, so Windows Safe mode saved me from dissaster

searched for the previous drivers before the latest one

previous v is harder to find, and i really wonder if its gonna make a change to just go back a couple of steps

becides i have tested to use the mouse without any driver installed, and it works fine...exept thath the mouse still frezzes as it did with a driver

what should i do next i wonder? (there isnt any virus!) buy a new mouse finally ore computer?
