A little late but I'll post on it anyway.. Umm.. Actually I have eight siblings, plus my Dad. So it is really impossible for me to buy presents that are all that much money. I think that most I spent on each person would be about $50.

I gave my dad a walkman. He seemed happy, but he really wasn't.:(

I bought my wife a $600 leather coat for Christmas two years ago. It still looks great. Money well spent. You get what you pay for.
