Michelle Kwan turns down NBC deal. After 2days, Kwan bowsout of the 2006 Winter Olympics because of a muscle pull.
NBC proceded to offer her a commentary job. Kwan turned down the offer stating she might be a distraction for the other athletes.

I think that was not a good thing to do. I think that she could have supported her teammates and/or friends, instead of just not doing it at all.

I used to be a pretty big fan of Michelle a couple of years ago. Funny, that I used to look down on people who liked figure skating...

She probably felt (and correctly may I add) that her Olympic gold dreams were shattered and she really had no place in Olympics setting.

Highly doubtful that she will be back in 4 years.
