Have you been to Start / Settings / Control Panel / Sounds and Audio Devices / Voice / Test Hardware? In Test Hardware, Windows will test your sound device, once it has done it's thing you can then Adjust the recording levels / volume. Check that out first, because this is where most of the problems occur when the sound levels are not set correctly. What is staples and counter strick by the way... |
ya i did that |
If you can check the mic on another computer and see if the same thing happens. Either the mic is bad or you have bad drivers or the configuration on your motherboard audio hardware is screwed up and cross filtering the sound coming through the mic. proccess of elimination. |
ya i tryed a different computer, its has to be the drivers. but i dont know how to fix them all i got are the ones on the disk and the one form the web site and ther the same one. |
what is your operating system? |
windows xp pro. |

What you need to do is comepletely uninstall the audio device...first determine what audio device(not the mic) it is that you have in your system. Then go to the Manufacturer's website and locate the newest drivers that are available. Download the driver to the desktop so you know exactly where they are. go to device manager and double click the audio device to bring up the properties box. Choose to uninstall and follow the prompts to uninstall. and reboot. Upon reboot windows will find the device and when the wizard pops up direct it to the new drivers on the desktop. Once the audio drivers are reinstalled try the mic without installing the drivers it came with and see if it works ok.... (by reinstalling the audio device then it will auto reset any settings that might be a cause of the conflict with the mic drivers.) |
pls check with ur audio settings. That... it.... |

Try booting in safe mode, then restore to when it was booting. Hit F8 key before Windows logo somes up. You should get a screen with one of the options Boot Safe Mode. When it's booted, go to System Restore (in accessories) and choose a restore point that last booted. This thread is fine, since you have some history of what caused the no booting. But it is always good to start new threads for each issue. It's easier for others to find help when they have similar issues. |
well i cant restore to a different spot, and i cant open in safe mode becouse when i push f8 it only tells me which device to boot up,. so now i have a hard drive problem. ima post a new one in the hard drive section. |
