LCD blackout
 

While reading an email, my wife's Benq FP737 monitor went black. The indicater light is green when the computer is on, yellow when off. I hooked up a backup CRT monitor and it works fine. Unfortunately the warranty expired almost exactly one month ago. I have an email in to Benq tech support but thought I would post here to see if anyone had a suggestion. Any help is appreciated.
