Windows on my laptop has completely crashed so I think I need to reformat the hard disk and reinstall windows. It does not have a floppy drive and when I tried booting from the CD an error message was displayed. Does anyone know of a way around this i.e. installing to a lap top with no floppy drive and no bootable cd drive.

What is the make and model of the laptop and, more importantly, what exactly is the error message displayed when you try to boot from your XP disc?
