Installation of programs on external drive

Is it possible to install the MS Outlook program on an external drive to be used by two separate computers at different locations? It's always a hassle making PST files to take back and forth and hoping it updates the Outllook program on the other computer correctly.

Remote Mail or Offline Folder feature

No need for using USB or other external disks...
