ie going crazy hi everyone.i need some help.my problem is this: i can be on the computer doing anything, playing a game checking e-mail etc and BAM an internet site called speed monitor mostly, comes up but i have also gotten e-bay and other various sites. thank God no *** sites yet. anyone know what this is. i ran avg virus check and it did not see any. is this malware spyware or what? it took me 5 minutes to type this because of the sites popping up. i am not a fast typer it would have taken me 3 minutes normally. any help will be greatly appreciated. thanks |
It looks like this can be removed from in the Windows control panel, add/remove programs. Remove it there and then run some anti-spyware programs. Also I recommend you use a browser like Firefox or Opera to greatly reduce the risk of malware. The home of Spybot-S&D! Ad-Aware 2007 Free - Lavasoft |
ie going crazy it was spyware. i downloaded stopgilla anti spyware and it found a slew of problems but they want $20 a year and i am i firm believer in trying something free and good first so i will try avg antispyware. i use virus protection and never had a problem. i run vista os but i guess that windows denfender is useless since i had it on to protect against spyware and still got it.thanks for the help. i'll let you know how avg spyware works |

Another must to install is SpywareBlaster, install it and it runs in the background with no overheads. Just update it weekly, although there might not be updates for it. SpywareBlaster Edit: You will have to set it up so that it blocks everything. This is very easy to do as well... |
avg spyware avg spyware seems to work ok have no problems yet thanks |
