I need help with PowerPoint I am working in MS PowerPoint 2003 and MS Producer. I put a PowerPoint in producer that has a link. I want it to link to a document in the same folder as the producer document but If I give this folder to someone on a different computer I still want it to work. Can I do this:confused: If not can I do something with the same effect? Open for suggestion, I_Hate_My_Computer |
it depends on how you implemented the link. PP should allow you to use dynamic linking, just as it is done in webpages start the link with: ./ this informs the program or device to start looking in the current location, as opposed to typing in an entire path, eg: C:\\some folder\some file.ext if your 2 files are in the same directory it should be as simple as making the link: ./filename.ext or possibly in windows: .\filename.ext some programs are picky about the direction of the slash. |
