How to use program compatibility mode in Windows 7?

It must be very irritating when we try to install any software and it says that it is not compatible to your current version of OS or your current OS does not support the respective software.

We are here going to discuss about some of the ways by which we can make it happen using Program Compatibility Assistant.

Program compatibility Assistant is a mode that allows us to run programs that were designed to run on the previous versions of OS. It detects the error and allows us to reinstall the software with the new recommended settings. Let us imagine that we are getting an error saying “The operating system you are using is not supported” then the following steps can help you in resolving the problem.

Step 1: When the error message comes up. Close it and then you will see a new window coming up.

Step 2: Click on the option “Reinstall using recommended settings”

Step 3: The compatibility mode has gone thorough and fixed the problem.

The problem may be that the software is compatible with Windows Vista. The program compatibility will automatically select the compatibility mode for us to install the software properly.

Sometimes you may get the error message saying “The program is blocked due to compatibility issues” for Program compatibility. Then you click on the button check for solutions online and find the solution online.
