The ClearType feature is a standard feature included in Windows 7, not like in Windows XP where it was included but needs to be enables by LCD screen users.
To access ClearType in Windows 7, click on the Start menu and key in cleartype in the search box. Press Enter. ClearType should be enabled by default and if it’s not, simply check the box and it will be enabled.
If you have two or more monitors, you can still have it enabled on all of the monitors. ClearType may also be enabled for one monitor only if you prefer to have it that way. This option works best for someone who has one LCD and one CRT monitor.
Just go through the wizard and select the best resolution that will work perfectly for the type of monitor that you have. Choose the text type that looks best for you and then exit from the wizard. With a long list of monitor types that are available in the market, you might need to do a little experiment with the settings to know what will be best for you.
