How to troubleshoot the "NTLDR Is Missing" error message in Windows 2000
This article tells you the proceedures to repair the NTLDR is missing issues.
Even though it is written for windows 2000 it is the same for windows XP

How to restore NTLDR in XP?
press F8 or whichever key you press to go to the different boot options. Then select "Last good known configuration". It should resolve the issue.

press F8 or whichever key you press to go to the different boot options. Then select "Last good known configuration". It should resolve the issue.
