How to find Files Where can I go to see every file that is on my computer. I can't navigate around in XP Pro so well as it's new too me. Is it true that the I386 folder is only found on my set- up disk, and I have to make a back up or recovery disk to be able to access it? I want to see everything that is on my computer whether part of XP or my downloaded files or software. Thanks gang!! You all have been a lot of help to me here lately. I am learning a lot and am sure I will have many more things to bug you with in the future. But I'm having fun learning. WHO said you can't teach an old Devil Dog new tricks?!!! Sarge |
I'm not sure i completely understand? All the files are on your drive. The i386 folder is not on your drive as it contains compressed versions of the actual files. The files in this folder make up the Program Files initial state as well as documents and settings and windows folders. if you want to see every file that is on your computer, you can always use search and type *, this will display all folders and files.... but the reason why you want to do this still escapes me. Is there something you are looking for? |
How to find files I just want to know how to find all the files in this OS in case I need to find something in the future. I have needed to have this knowledge in the past, and XP is set up substantially different than 2K. So I want to know my way around the new neighborhood. I've already had to find all my drivers for audio. So thanks for the info. |
