how to boot without a cd drive?
 

a new installation is required but,, dont have a cd drive so can it be done by a pen drive or a removable disk.?? but then how to giv the path for the boot.ini file??? n any ways to make them bootable?

if your motherboard supports usb drives, then yes you can install from an external source, you can check this in your boot order under your bios.

what are you talking about boot.ini? If you are going to re-install windows will create it's own boot.ini file in the local drive, you don't have to specifiy this informationf rom a cd drive, so why would you need to from a usb source?
