How to repair video flickering in Windows Media Player 12 in Windows 7
 

Windows Media Player 12 is the most improved version of media player ever offered by Windows 7. But like every other program, WMP 12 also has a bug to offer.

If you are watching a movie on Windows Media Player 12 with sub titles, the video flickers whenever there is a change in the line in subtitle. This surely hampers your movie watching experience.

Like always, Microsoft promised to look after this bug / issue, and posted hotfix for the same. A system called Enhanced Video Renderer (EVR) in Windows Media Player 12 handles all the subtitles notifications, and this is the reason that video image flickers every time there is a change in subtitle.

The hotfix of this particular problem issued by Microsoft works on Windows 7 and Windows Server 2008.
