One of the serious problem that we have come across recently in Windows 7 is that it creates and deletes cache every time thus make the processing time increase and the overall performance of the system reduces.
Well, there is something we can do to prevent it from deleting the cache and make it run faster. The main point what we have to do is to reject or revoke the access for deleting the thumbnail cache to all users.
The following steps provide the detailed explanation of how to do it:
Step 1.The Thumbnail cache folder is located at " C:\Users\{username}\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Window s\ ".
Step 2.Now,Right Click the cache folder " Explorer " as it is named. Go to properties and slide over to the security tab and
Step 3. Click on the Advanced button.
Step 4.A new pop-up is visualised displaying all the users who have the access to the folder. To change permissions for each user click on the "Change Permissions" button.
Step 5..Select each user and go to edit option and check the box under 'Delete subfolder and files’ and 'delete' options.
Step 6.The above process creates three new special permission entries and these can be either edited or removed if wanted to.
The above procedure prevents the deletion of the files inside the cache folder and speeds up the loading of the folders. You should know that even running the Disk Cleanup will not delete the files in the cache folder.
