How to make Firefox as the default web browser?

There are various web browsers available today and some people have there own favorite one for some reason. You may face some problem in setting the one you like as the default web browser.

If your favorite web browser is Firefox and you are facing difficulties in setting it as the default browser than the following steps will help you in setting it.

Step 1: Login to the windows with the login having administrative rights.
Step 2: Click on Start and in the search panel type default.
Step 3: A Default Programs window will open up.
Step 4: Click on the link “Set Program Access and Computer Defaults”
Step 5: An another window will open up select the custom radio button.
Step 6: After selecting the custom radio button a list of options for program defaults will come up.
Step 7: Under the section “Choose a Default Web Browser”.
Step 8: Select Mozilla Firefox radio button and make sure that the option “Enable access to this program” is selected.
Step 9: Click on OK.

Now restart you computer and firefox will be now your default browser.
