Aero Snap is one of the latest features in Windows 7 where all running windows will automatically arrange when transferred to the edge of the screen. When you drag a window to the left side of the screen, it will automatically dock to the left side of the monitor, which takes half of the screen space. The same thing happens if you do the same on the right side. When dragged to the top portion of the screen, the window maximizes. If you feel you do not need this feature and you want to disable Aero Snap, just follow the five steps listed below.
1. Go to Start > Control Panel
2. Click on Ease of Access and go to Ease of Access Center
3. Choose from any of the following options provided: • Make the mouse easier to use
• Make the keyboard easier to use
• Make it easier to focus on tasks
4. Tick the box near the following option: Prevent windows from being automatically arranged when moved to the edge of the screen
5. Click OK, and exit from the Ease of Access Center
