Default Help with missing drivers

I recently put my new Gateway ML6732 Laptop into a dual boot config, Vista and XP. The dual boot works great But my USB ports dont work in XP. I need these to work. I downloaded some drivers from gateway that were supposed to work with vista and XP but it didnt work. Any suggestions??

Win XP is fully supportive has native support for USB device drivers since SP1, without additional downloads. You do not say what service pack you are running in XP...

Make sure you have the right system board drivers. I've seen some issues of USB ports not showing up in the device manager until I installed the mfg. chipset drivers.

This is very true...go to the motherboard manufacturer's website and download the XP version of the USB drivers.

Wombat is right on cue as well. SP1 and later updates will install the USB drivers...in some places it will be the only way for you to get them without the original motherboard chipset driver CD as Microsoft has agreements concerning the download of USB drivers.
